The radiant cut combines the silhouette of the emerald cut with the brilliance and sparkle of the round full cut. It comes in both square and rectangular shapes, typically cut with 70 facets (25 on the crown, 8 on the girdle and 37 on the pavilion), and its corners are beveled. The radiant cut diamond is a beautifully symmetrical, non-traditional cut, and combines the brilliance of a round and the purity of an emerald cut. Unlike the emerald cut which favors diamonds of exceptional clarity, a radiant cut diamond can be more forgiving of inclusions.
Radiant cut diamonds are often called the rectangular modified brilliant diamond and just like asscher cut, it occupies a larger surface area resulting in more carat weight. These have recently got more popular in eternity bands and bracelets.
